Product Data Exchange Definition

Product data exchange (PDX; also known as product data eXchange) is a standard developed by NEMI that is used by supply chains to package, share, and review parts, bills of materials (BOMs), approved manufacturer lists (AMLs), engineering change orders (ECOs), documentation, drawings, and more. A PDX is based on an XML format that allows for easy sharing, review, and collaboration between OEMs, ODMs, supply chain partners, and systems (e.g., PLM, ERP).
