This year was a transformative leap for Arena by PTC as the product that redefined what’s possible in product lifecycle management (PLM) and quality management system (QMS) solutions. Four central themes became apparent in 2025: breakthrough Responsible AI-driven releases that turned static systems of record into dynamic systems of insight, flexible platform integrations that connect business systems and improve operations, ecosystem partnerships that unlock new possibilities for customers, and industry recognition that validates Arena’s continued focus on customer impact. These advances have not only accelerated innovation for our customers but have also charted the course for the future of intelligent PLM.

Software Releases Focused on Purposeful Innovation

AI No Longer an Add-On Capability, It’s Foundational

Arena typically delivers four software releases per year, based primarily on customer feedback. This year’s feedback consistently pointed to deeper intelligence embedded in the supply chain, AI-driven automation within core workflows, and intuitive, cloud-native user experiences built for scale.

Key highlights of each release:

  1. Cloud Documents Connection: Provides the ability to edit and release Microsoft 365 or Google Docs document revisions directly in Arena without downloading and uploading. Arena extends the capability further by establishing permanent links between Microsoft 365 or Google Docs files and the product record. With this tight connection, users can open the latest draft in Arena and continue to make edits until the document is ready for approval and release. In turn, teams gain greater visibility into working, in-review, and completed files.
  2. Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI): Powered by Accuris’ industry-leading component database, Arena SCI provides product teams with actionable insights to make proactive electric component decisions earlier in product development. It monitors the health of your bill of materials (BOM), provides alternatives that mitigate component-related risk throughout the product lifecycle, and ensures electronic component compliance by automatically updating and maintaining compliance status when regulatory requirements change.
  3. AI Assistant: Helps users work smarter by transforming how they obtain PLM, QMS, and SCI help content and system guidance. Instead of relying on keyword-based search, users can now ask natural language questions like, “How do I submit a change request?” and receive context-aware answers. It’s even more powerful if you give it a bit of information about your role and use case, like “As a change manager, how can I incorporate quality world to enhance our processes?” The AI assistant’s conversational interface understands intent and instantly delivers relevant help resources or guidance in any language.
  4. AI Engine: Powered by Amazon Bedrock, the AI Engine harnesses advanced language models to deliver actionable insights and automate repetitive tasks while upholding strict security measures and compliance standards. In addition, the AI Engine accelerates intelligent automation directly into everyday PLM and QMS workflows, enabling teams to make processes more intuitive and give teams greater clarity and control over their product information.
