SOLUTIONBRIEF
OverviewAccess Policies allow the Arena account administrator to define rules that govern access to each world, view, category, and more, and apply them to individual users or User Groups. Access Policies can be defined for employee and partner users.
KEY BENEFITS |
WHAT ARENA ACCESS POLICIES DOES |
|
| Granular Access Control | Govern access to information based on world, view, category, and more based on account administrator-defined rules. Control allowable actions like read, write, and update. | |
| Policy and Group Level Support | Access policies include one or more rules that each refer to worlds and actions. One or more policies can be assigned to groups to simplify the administration of user information access. | |
| Control Employee and Partner Access | Access policies can be applied to both employee and partner users. | |
| Easy to Assign | Bulk assign users to access policies and groups through the UI. Account administrators can also import templated spreadsheets to perform a variety of employee/access assignments. | |
| Quick Deployment | Standard out-of-the-box access policies and groups can be added to a workspace for testing and editing as needed. Best business practices, built in. |
User groups can be defined as needed. To define user access at the job function level, create an access group with policies at that level. To add a new user to Arena, simply add them to that access group.
Access Policies let account administrators define user access to Arena information from top-level worlds and views to specific filters that use categories and attributes for the precise level of access needed for each type of user.
Policies control access based on user groups defined by the Arena administrator (e.g., location, function) and allow for secure and efficient policy management. Out-of-the-box policies provide a fast initial configuration that allows modification and replication.
