Arena Solutions Industry-Leading On-Demand Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Solution Wins Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Award for Second Consecutive Year

Strida Bicycles Implementation of Arena PLM Recognized as an Example of an Enterprise who is at the Forefront of Innovation

Foster City, Calif., July 21, 2006 — Arena Solutions, the leading provider of on-demand product lifecycle management (PLM) software for manufacturers of all sizes, announced today that Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine, the executive’s user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has recognized Arena Solutions with the prestigious Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Award for the second consecutive year.

This year the magazine focused the criteria for its “100” feature on innovation. The judging committee selected Arena Solutions as a leading provider of supply chain services citing its PLM solution is at the forefront of innovation, addressing the needs of companies of varying sizes and assisting in the transformation of a diverse mix of the functions that make up the supply chain.

“Our readers turn to Supply & Demand Chain Executive to learn about new solutions and best practices for enabling the supply chain, to understand trends in supply chain technology, and to benchmark their own companies' enablement initiatives with those of other enterprises across industry verticals,” explained Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The corporate executives and line-of-business leaders who rely on the magazine want to know not only what the state of the art is today, but what will be the cutting edge of supply chain transformation and enablement tomorrow.”

Arena Solutions was honored with the SCDC 100 Award for its successful deployment of Arena PLM at Strida Bicycles, a leading UK manufacturer and designer of the latest generation of folding bicycles. In 2001, the company had the opportunity to expand into the US market, but it would require them to significantly scale their volume production. To meet the demands, Strida made the strategic decision to outsource their entire manufacturing process to a contract manufacturer. As the company transitioned to a volume manufacturing approach, they needed to find a solution that would enable their engineers in the UK and the United States to easily collaborate with their contract manufacturer in Taiwan.

Strida selected Arena PLM on-demand because it enabled their geographically dispersed manufacturers and engineers to work in real-time from a single, centralized product record regardless of time zone. The implementation was completed in two days - a feat unprecedented with traditional client-server PLM solutions. Today, Strida continues to use Arena PLM to streamline collaboration across its global supply chain and take advantage of Arena’s continuous innovation and new features.

“We are honored that Supply and Demand Chain Executive recognized our technology, as well as our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet our customer needs,” said Michael Topolovac, chief executive officer of Arena Solutions. “We are constantly innovating so our customers can benefit from the most powerful, yet easy-to-use PLM solution available.”
