Findings from the 2011 Arena Solutions Manufacturing Outsourcing Survey

The 2011 Arena Solutions Manufacturing Outsourcing survey was conducted to determine the specific benefits and challenges of outsourcing strategies across industries. The study gathered information from 1004 participants ranging from startup organizations to well-recognized corporations across a variety of segments, including high-tech, medical device, consumer products and more.

Overall, we found that while manufacturers from all verticals continue to embrace outsourcing as a way to cut costs and increase flexibility, the benefits and challenges differ across industries. This paper summarizes the key findings, and discusses the differences in outsourcing patterns across high-tech, startup and small businesses.
