Arena Solutions Joins Intacct On-Demand ERP Platform Services
Foster City, Calif., Jun 16 - According to IDC Research, worldwide spending on software as a service (SaaS), which reached $4.2 billion in 2004, will grow at a rate of 21 percent a year to total $10.7 billion in 2009. New integration partnerships among SaaS vendors, enabling companies of any size to have a complete suite of on-demand best of breed applications, are contributing to the rapid growth in the SaaS adoption. The promise of SaaS over traditional enterprise applications has always been ease of use, fast deployment and affordability - not only of the applications themselves, but also their integration with other systems.
Arena Solutions, the leading provider of on-demand product lifecycle management software for mid-sized manufacturers, today announced plans to integrate Arena product lifecycle management (PLM) software into Intacct’s ERP On Demand™ suite. By partnering with Intacct, Arena Solutions will further expand the reach of on-demand PLM, enabling companies to have a complete suite of on-demand applications to run their business.
“While customers may not fully understand some of the fundamental differentiators of the SaaS model - such as multi-tenancy and the nuances of a recurring revenue model - they obviously like what the model offers them: lower cost, reduced risk and easier to deploy and manage business solutions,” wrote Laurie McCabe, Vice President, SMB Communications Research, AMI Partners, in a recent report entitled “Hidden Gems in the Software-as-Service Crown.” McCabe’s report goes on to note that while CRM companies such as Salesforce.com have garnered most of the spotlight in the SaaS movement, there are many other successful SaaS vendors in the business solutions arena.
“Integration of PLM and ERP has always been a valuable business proposition,” said Michael Topolovac, CEO of Arena Solutions, the leading provider of on-demand product lifecycle management solutions. “With on-demand software, the ability to do this quickly, easily and affordably is a significant differentiator. Arena is pleased to partner with Intacct and enable the promise of integrated PLM and ERP applications delivered 100 percent as a service.”
“A major challenge facing companies today is addressing the complexities of integrating and delivering best-of-breed applications to employees and customers,” said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO and president of Intacct. “By working with industry leading software as a service companies like Arena Solutions to add their on-demand PLM capabilities to our suite of ERP solutions, we are growing new capabilities for our customers who have come to understand the enormous value in software delivered as a service.”
Arena PLM enables manufacturing companies to share - in real time - a single version of the product record, facilitating design and engineering collaboration in diverse industries such as high-tech electronics, medical devices and consumer products. With an easy-to-use application that can be accessed on-demand, everyone in the global outsourced supply chain - from OEMs to their contract manufacturers, outsourced designers and suppliers - is able to work more efficiently, speed time-to-market, and more capably address market pressures.
