• User registration: Easily invite employees, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to register their Skype name with Arena for integrated voice calling and text chat.
• Chat logs: Save transcripts containing valuable information exchanged via text sessions during a conference chat as part of the product record.
• People browser: Detect the presence of co-workers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers users to determine who is currently available for instant interaction.
• System-wide access: Access the People Browser and initiate a call, text session, or group email throughout Arena PLM.
• Single-click conferencing: Instantly connect to one or more users for voice conference or text chat.
• Collaboration circles: Quickly view a list of all users (with availability indicators), or limit display to groups of users such as suppliers, employees, and partners, and change control board members.
• Group email: Send a group email to all or selected members of a collaboration circle.
• Security: Collaborate privately with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) security. The AES algorithm is capable of using cryptographic keys of 128, 192, and 256 bits, and is approved under authority of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce as the cryptographic algorithm that can be used to protect sensitive electronic data by federal agencies or departments. All calls and chats are automatically encrypted so your call or text cannot be intercepted.
