Arena provides one central location for all product definition data, from part numbers to part lifecycle status, and from datasheets to costing information. The Arena EDA Adapter constantly updates the EDA tool’s library with electronic component data from Arena.

Arena EDA Adapter supports the following functionality:

• Reuse Parts from Preferred Parts Database. Parts with schematic symbol information managed in Arena can be placed in a design within the EDA tool.
• View Database Parts. Get the latest information on a part from Arena, including all custom properties.
• Database Explorer. Search for parts based on parametric information or view parts by part type.
• Component Verification. Compare transferred properties on the design against property values on the effective revision of the item in Arena.
• Bill of Materials. Properties from Arena can be included in the BOM without having the properties populated on the part. For example, when a part is placed from Arena, datasheet information available on the effective revision of the item can be included on the BOM without having to transfer the datasheet onto the design.
