Wave7 Optics
Wave7 Optics was losing manufacturing time and resources to overly complicated engineering change order (ECO) processes.
Engineers would fill out a Word document, email the document to the change control group for review and perform a search
for affected assemblies before deciding if the ECO should move forward. They were losing valuable productivity and development time to repetitive administrative tasks.
Additionally, Wave7 needed to integrate its product record with QAD MFG/PRO system data.
- A system to link engineering change requests (ECRs) to engineering change orders (ECOs) and a process for creating ECOs directly from ECRs
- Web-native architecture to search for affected assemblies automatically
- Integration of product data with ERP system data
Shortly after adopted Arena, Wave7’s Document Control Manager began seeing ECO cycles reduced by 50%, freeing up engineers to concentrate on design and development.
