Blast Motion Wins Manufacturing Leadership Award Powered by Arena Solutions
Blast Motion’s Use of Arena PLM Recognized by Frost & Sullivan for ‘Innovation Process Leadership’
Foster City, Calif., Jun 16 - Arena Solutions, the pioneer of cloud-based product lifecycle management (PLM) applications, today announced that Arena and Blast Motion, an Arena PLM user, have been named winners by Frost & Sullivan in the 2015 Manufacturing Leadership Awards in the Innovation Process Leadership category. Blast Motion was honored for its implementation of Arena PLM, which enabled the company to manage its complex bill of materials (BOM) and its supply chain to bring their product to market in less time, at a lower cost, with fewer errors and less waste. Blast is an industry innovator focused on redefining the digital experience with its wearable motion capture technologies.
Blast Motion implemented cloud-based Arena PLM to enable faster product development and dramatic improvements in time-to-market, cost, and quality. Deployment took just a few weeks. Blast Motion began seeing benefits and return on investment instantly and reported being able to bring three products to market in a three month span, beating the original objective to introduce two products within six months. They were able to deliver significantly ahead of schedule and under budget, and achieved reductions in errors and scrap by using Arena PLM.
“This is an excellent example of the incredible gains in efficiency and cost reduction that Arena customers realize with Arena PLM,” said Steve Chalgren, Arena's executive vice president of product management and chief strategy officer. “By introducing a much greater level of visibility, collaboration and management of their complex BOM, Blast was able to dramatically reduce errors and waste, while increasing the speed at which they can bring their products to market and at a higher quality. Arena congratulates Blast for winning this high honor.”
Manufacturing Leadership Awards
Now, in their eleventh year, The Manufacturing Leadership Awards (ML Awards) honor companies and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Nominations are entered into 11 categories, evaluated and scored by a panel of expert judges. Ten of the ML Awards categories are for outstanding projects by a manufacturing company. One category recognizes the achievements of individual marketing leaders. Manufacturing Leadership Award winners and their technology partners were honored on June 4th at a gala celebration that followed the eleventh annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Carlsbad, CA, a unique gathering of manufacturing leaders from around the world. At the gala, winners of the ML High Achiever Awards, the ML Manufacturers of the Year, and the Manufacturing Leader of the Year were announced.
