Patterson’s commitment to software solutions for manufacturers spans his entire 15–year career. Prior to joining Arena Solutions, Patterson was responsible for the global sales organization of Apexon, an on–demand solution for improved supply chain management and decision support. There he helped the company deploy its solution into a solid base of Fortune 1000 manufacturing customers and become the leader in the on–demand supplier performance management space. In a prior position as director of sales for the western and central regions at newScale, Inc., the leader in IT service portfolio management and service catalog software solutions, Patterson helped grow the company’s customer base to more than one million users in just six years. Earlier in his career, Patterson helped develop and launch the sales organization for Datasweep (now Rockwell Automation), a leading provider of manufacturing execution software for Fortune 1000 manufacturers.

Patterson received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Colorado.
