Supply & Demand Chain Executive Names Michael Topolovac to its List of Provider Pros to Know
Arena Solutions CEO Honored for his Deep Domain Knowledge and Innovative Thinking
Foster City, Calif., March 14, 2006 — Arena Solutions, the leading provider of on-demand product lifecycle management (PLM) software for manufacturers of any size, today announced that Michael Topolovac, CEO, has been named by Supply & Demand Chain Executive to its list of 2006 Provider Pros to Know. The Supply & Demand Chain Executive Provider Pros to Know is an annual listing of individuals from a software firm or service provider, consultancy, or analyst or research firm who exhibit deep domain knowledge and innovative thinking within the industry. The full listing of the 2006 Pros to Know is available on the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Web site at http://www.SDCExec.com
“I am honored to be recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a thought-leader in developing the tools and technologies that are enabling manufacturers to transform themselves and collaborate more effectively with their ever-expanding global supply chain,” said Topolovac. “Arena’s on-demand PLM solution has already helped 100’s of customers to improve and accelerate how they develop and deliver their products, all without the cost and complexity typically associated with traditional client/server solutions.”
Topolovac co-founded Arena Solutions in 2006 with the vision of providing cost-effective, on-demand product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions to manufacturers of all sizes and their global supply chains. Prior to co-founding Arena, Topolovac founded and served for ten years as chief executive officer of Light & Motion Industries (LMI), a leading manufacturer of underwater video, photo and lighting products for consumer markets. He led LMI’s evolution from a supplier of underwater lights to a manufacturer of a full line of high performance underwater imaging products, to capture 60% of the market. As CEO of LMI, Topolovac experienced the pain of having to use expensive, complex enterprise software to run the product development arm of the business. This personal frustration was the motivation and inspiration behind him developing a custom PLM application that has run LMI’s operations for the past ten years, and ultimately became the prototype for the Arena PLM product.
